Keep It 100: Drake Concert Outfit

I wore this to a Drake concert in Montreal last night. I drove up with Rosie and met two other friends there. We spent the day shopping and eating. I didn't find much in store since there weren't any sales happening and my thrifting senses couldn't deal! We did have tonnes of fun though and it's always nice to visit Montreal since it feels like a second home.

Drake was amazing live. He's very talented but also such a down to earth guy. He made the audience feel extra special and incorporated Montreal into some of his songs. I had hoped that we would have played more songs from his best album (in my opinion), Nothing Was The Same but I was still so happy to see him in concert.

I went with a 90s look and added gold accents to break up the black. I had brought heels to wear to the concert but ended up staying in my Nikes and I'm glad I did! There's nothing worse than having sore feet at a concert when you're trying to enjoy the music.

This is my first of hopefully many concerts this summer. Up next is Shania Twain at the end of the month and it looks like me and Rosie will be seeing Nicki Minaj in July.

BLUE VELVET

I know these pictures probably look so wintery but we had a few colder days last week so I had to pull out the faux fur and velvet. I wore this to have drinks for my friend's birthday. We went to a place in the market called Social and it was my first time there. They recently renovated and it was super pretty and chic. I got to see a lot of friends that I haven't seen in a while so it was nice catching up. Isn't it crazy how fast time flies?

Let's talk about my dress! It's so luxe and glam yet comfy and warm. I love the colour and the slit. On the hanger it looked shapeless but once I tried it on I fell in love with it. It reminded me to always try things on because the difference between how it looks on the hanger and on you is like night and day. Clothes truly come to life when put on a person!

Camel Coat / Grunge Boots

Winter keeps coming then going. On this particular day, it was very cold. I love this coat, it's so luxurious and very warm. This hat was my staple last winter and will probably be with me for this winter too. Lately I've been trying to focus on finding cool boots to wear for this season since I basically just wear one or two of the same coats. I find accessories are the best way to express my personal style when out and about in the colder months. I adore these new boots. I originally saw a similar pair by Celine and another by Cheap Monday but wasn't willing to pay the price. I don't usually shop online but when I came across these boots on Go Jane, I had to have them. How do you dress for the colder weather?

Coat: Aquascutum, gifted. Boots: Go Jane, $37. Jeans: H&M, 12 pounds. Long Shirt/Dress: Value Village, $4. Hat: H&M, $6. Scarf: H&M, $20.

90s Two-Piece

Calling all 90s kids! Please tell me you remember this sparkly slinky material. When I saw this two piece at Value Village I had to have it. The long skirt with the slit and the top with the sheer sleeves are a match made in heaven. I've worn this outfit to work but decided to make it a little darker for the evening by adding clunky boots, a choker, and purple lips. I wore this last weekend to Saunder's Farm Fright Fest with Lisa and Rosie. It's basically a halloween themed park with various activities, halloween themed foods, haunted houses/mazes, and a haunted hay ride. They also have scary actors walking around jumping out at random people. I got scared twice by the same guy with a huge shovel! I laughed at myself the second time for being fooled twice. I'm normally not one to watch a scary movie or ghost shows but this year for some reason I felt the need to let go and just have fun with being frightened. We had such a fun night and ate some pretty delicious foods. The night ended with candy apples and a long dark drive home.

Leather jacket: Value Village, $10. Two-piece: Value Village, $7.99. Boots: New Look, 22 pounds. Necklace: Garage sale, $3. Purse: Vintage, gifted. Lipstick: Mix of Covergirl Lip Perfection in Divine and Joe Fresh Matte Lipstick in Smitten.

Delicious

Ottawa weather seems to be floating back and forth between summer and fall. It's totally awesome. The more summer-ish days make me so happy. I found this matching crochet pink two piece at Value Village last month, it was love at first sight. I found this retro cardigan the same day and the purse and shoes are also from Value Village. I just love how 90s the shoes are. I've wanted clear heels for a while but couldn't find the right pair. The brand is called 'Delicious' which I find SO hilarious.

Shirt and skirt: Value Village, $13. Cardigan: Value Village, $9. Heels: Value Village, $10. Purse: Value Village, $6. Necklace: H&M, $10.
